Sun-Dried Haldi Chips

Haldi or Turmeric, the queen of spices is native to Asia especially Indian subcontinent and South East Asia. It is used as a herb or cooking ingredient or medicine in Ayurveda on account of its versatility since years. It contains a compound as curcumin that has anti-oxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that support brain health, heart health, aids digestion, boosts immunity, etc.

Svaguna’s haldi is cultivated between our fruit orchards naturally on our food forest Vivavan situated in Amarwara. Haldi is nearly a year crop and post harvest we traditionally process our haldi by boiling, cutting and later sun-drying the cut haldi pieces. The product is our sun-dried haldi chips that can be used as a spice by hydrating or else one can grind fresh powder whenever required. . The haldi chips are used for cooking or in milk or concoction or just grind it for making fresh haldi powder.
