Mahua Pickle – 200GMS

Mahua is a traditional Indian tree that is found across forest and plains in central India and have been on our food forest since years and we harvest the flowers and sun-dry them in the summer months. Mahua is a versatile and valuable tree for the tribals of the region as all parts of the tree are extremely beneficial, the flowers, trees, leaves, bark, etc and they use it as a remedy for many diseases.

We use the sun-dried mahua flower that is edible and highly nutritive as it is source of vitamins, iron, minerals, calcium, phosphorus. We harvest the flowers at our food forest in Vivavan situated in Amarwara, Madhya Pradesh. We mix it with our spices to make a pickle that is sweet and spicy to taste, the fermented mahua flower is a nutrient packed.
Svaguna’s mahua pickle is an acquired taste but is an easy form to have health packed fermented mahua flower that is good for health and superb to taste. It can be had as an accompaniment to any meal.
