Alsi is a superfood as it is rich in Omega 3 fats and dietary fibres and helps increase good cholesterol with regular consumption. On roasting the seeds become crunchy and tasty, we bring a rustic Maharashtrian style alsi chutney that can be had as an accompaniment with bhakri, rice, roti, etc. It is one of the best ways to include nutritious flaxseeds in our diets. Ingredients are flaxseeds, garlic, salt and some chillies for flavour. It can last for a month or so but ideally should be consumed fresh.
